Frequently asked questions (FAQ), Shipping & Payment

Thank you for your interest in my work and welcome to my online shop! Below you will find answers to frequently asked questions – about the works of art themselves, shipping and payment methods. If you have a question that is not answered below, simply send me an e-mail to brief@hjseidler.de and I will contact you as soon as possible.
Thank you! HJS

1. Who runs the online shop?

This online shop is operated by HJS – Atelier for Visual Communication (Hans-Jörg Seidler, Innerer Nordbahnhof 1, 70191 Stuttgart, Germany). The artworks offered in the shop are thus purchased directly from the HJS studio.

2. What kind of artwork can I buy here?

The items on offer are works of art from HJS. Works which have been created in collaboration with other artists contain the addition “In collaboration with:” in the corresponding article description.
Limited silkscreen print editions: Each screen-printed edition is handmade by HJS in his atelier. Due to the technique of manual screen printing, the colours and the accuracy of fit can vary slightly from print to print. All prints are carefully checked by HJS before being numbered, signed and dispatched.

3. When can I expect to receive my order?

Orders are usually packed and shipped from Stuttgart, Germany within 5-10 business days. Delivery times vary depending on the delivery address you specify at checkout. Deliveries within Germany are usually delivered within 1-2 working days from the date of dispatch. Within the EU zone you should allow 5-7 working days for delivery from the date of dispatch, outside the euro zone up to 14 working days from the date of dispatch. 4. What are the shipping costs?

Shipping and packaging costs are calculated individually before payment at the checkout and depend on the products selected and the destination of the delivery.

5. Will I be charged import duties on my order?

Orders from non-EU countries may be subject to import duties and/or taxes, in which case payment is the responsibility of the buyer. We take great care to comply with all tax and customs regulations. For international orders, we enclose the necessary documentation (shipping invoices and a declaration certifying the originality of the work for duty-free import into non-EU countries). In most cases this is sufficient. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

6. How are the artworks packed?

Each work of art is packed carefully, safely and with the best possible protection. Large-format artworks are, if possible, packed and shipped rolled in robust square tubes. Small-format artworks are, if possible, packed flat and protected in the best possible way with robust cardboard lids. If your artwork is delivered in a square tube, we strongly recommend that you unpack the artwork as soon as possible or at least not store it for more than 7 days. When unpacking, please make sure to unroll the artwork carefully and let it unfold slowly. Translated with www.DeepL.com/Translator (free version)

7. Will I receive an order confirmation and an invoice?

After you have placed your order, you will receive an order confirmation by e-mail. You will receive a printed invoice with your shipment.

8. Will I receive a tracking link to track my delivery?

Large format artworks are sent per DHL. After we have handed over the parcels to DHL, you will receive the tracking ID via e-mail to the e-mail address you have provided. Please also check your spam folder.

9. How are the orders shipped?

Large format works of art are sent by DHL. Small-format works of art are sent by DHL or Deutsche Post.

10. What currency do you accept?

Payment will be made in euros. International credit card providers or banks determine the exchange rate and may charge an additional handling or administration fee, which will be covered by the buyer.

11. Is VAT included in the prices?

All prices include German value added tax. For orders outside the EU, no VAT is charged, but the price remains as stated.

12. How true to colour are the images of the artwork?

The images of the works of art in the online shop correspond as closely as possible to the original. However, the colours and materials of the artworks cannot be digitally reproduced with one hundred percent accuracy.

13. What about copyright when buying an artwork?

When you buy an artwork, you become the owner of the physical piece. The copyright remains with the artist (Hans-Jörg Seidler). You may not revise, reproduce or publish the image without the written consent of HJS.

14. What payment methods can I use?

Within the framework of the payment service PayPal Plus, we currently offer the following payment methods in our shop as PayPal Services: PayPal, credit card via PayPal, direct debit via PayPal. In any case you will be redirected to the website of the online payment provider PayPal. There you can enter your payment data, confirm the use of your data by PayPal and the payment instruction to PayPal. You can find more detailed information on the payment methods in the order process on the checkout page and can be accessed at paypal.com.

15. May I return the purchased artwork?

If you are not completely satisfied with your purchase, you can return the artwork within 2 weeks of receipt of the shipment. We will refund the full amount as soon as the work of art has returned undamaged to the atelier. We will deduct the shipping costs from the refund, i.e. the buyer must pay the costs of the return shipment (registered mail).
